Colin
Champion has worked in the HR sector for fifteen years. Having experience
of career change consultancy in both one-to-one delivery to senior
board level and group programmes he has also operated as Project
Director for major contracts with blue chip organisations and Ministry
of Defence sectors. His background in the oil and gas industry gives
him offshore safety registration, and he was the first consultant
to work offshore in the North Sea delivering the initial phase of
career change programmes on production platforms - and also with
the MOD under the government Options for Change military downsizing
programme in the mid-90s. As Project Director he lead the downsizing
and change programme of the Royal Ulster Constabulary/Police Service
of Northern Ireland under the Good Friday Agreement for the Northern
Ireland Peace Process. His work has also encompassed Management
Buy Out assessments for public sector operations. He is a licensed
and accredited user of the Potentia Human Resource System and is
in the process of becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of
Personnel Development. He gained a Dip.Eng. in Metallurgy and Materials
Science and is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
