Some frequently asked questions

Why Aurora?

Because we're based in the North of Scotland, home of the beautiful aurora borealis. The northern lights are sometimes shimmering, sometimes colourful, sometimes dark. As if they have moods. Hard to define, mysterious, difficult to pin down, elusive and unpredictable, they cast both light and shadow on the world.

A bit like personality, really.

Isn't all this personality stuff just a lot of airy-fairy psycho-babble?

Obviously, we don't believe that's true or we wouldn't be doing what we do! It does help to have at least an open mind in looking at yourself, perhaps as others might see you.

Most people do recognise themselves, and often gain insight, understanding and explanations of things that have puzzled them for many years.

Almost all our participants describe the work they do with us as "fun" and "very helpful" - even "amazingly accurate", and many acquire new tools to tackle issues that have so far appeared insurmountable.

But it's vital that people are willing participants. We do not recommend using psychometrics where there is considerable negative resistance.

What qualifications do your associates hold?

The administration, scoring and interpretation of published ability and personality questionnaires in the UK is tightly controlled by the license holding publishers, and is restricted to persons who either hold a certificate of competence issued by the British Psychological Society or to persons who have been accredited, through approved training courses, to purchase and deliver specific named products. In some cases both are required. Aurora Perceptions Ltd guarantees that its associates are fully accredited to deliver the products in which they specialise, and evidence is retained on file for inspection if required.
