Psychometrics
We
specialise in offering a range of psychometrics. But we also
recognise the value of many other tools. One of the most popular
is NLP - click here for more information.
If
you're not already familiar with psychometrics, here's a brief
guided tour.
Psychometrics
("measuring the mind") fall into two main categories:
Personality measures (such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator
®)
Measures of ability or aptitude (such as tests of numerical
ability)
The
benefits to both the individual and to businesses of understanding
personality and ability are well known but may be summarised
as including:
more reliable selection decisions, using objective criteria
informed career choice
identification of strengths and weaknesses
problem solving in teams
making informed personal development decisions
identifying tomorrow's "high fliers"
tackling stress and conflict positively
Most
psychometrics are delivered either through paper and pencil
questionnaires or, increasingly, on-line. Feedback is strictly
controlled and is required by test developers and publishers
to be undertaken by trained and accredited practitioners of
the kind that you will find within consultancies like Aurora
Perceptions Ltd.
In
the final analysis it is always - and rightly - people that
make the final decisions. Psychometrics should never be the
final arbiter. However, they can add considerably and substantially
to the quality of information available, resulting in the probability
of much better, informed decisions being made by individuals
and by businesses.
At
Aurora we would be delighted to discuss with you if and how
psychometrics might benefit you.
